Private Collection In TB Silalahi Center Lake Toba Balige
Private
collection at TB Silalahi Center
Located in a
separate building, there is a modern building which turns out to be a
safekeeping collection of relatives of TB Silalahi. One of them is the
Al-Quran, Gusdur's father is also ..
The most exciting
area in the TB Silalahi Center is actually.
BATAK FOREST! that is, the area
containing houses is batak, very cool
right. when these traditional houses are rarely found unless you visit
villages in remote areas of North Sumatra, you can find them here and find out
the types of traditional houses.
Traditional Houses
in TB Silalahi Center
The exterior
is really cool ... if only every traditional house is easily found in the
regions, it's a potential to become our tourism selling power. Keep on Airbnb ,
so tourists can easily feel living in traditional homes and being local
After being
satisfied around the TB Silalahi Center Museum, we began to move towards the
port to cross to Samosir, but before walking along. We had stopped at
Soekarno's Exile House, which I will discuss in the next post, huh, because
Soekarno's Exile House is located in Parapat, outside of Balige.
We spent 1
night a day to explore Samosir Island, which friends can read here (Spending
Weekends on Samosir Island) .
After staying overnight on Samosir Island, we
continued our journey to Balige again by road trip by crossing the lake with a
bridge, namely through Pangururan. The journey from Samosir Island to Balige
through Pangururan takes ± 5 hours. How long is it ??? Yes, but just calm down, along the way you
can stop by the View Tower Tele, cool coffee on the hill that is the view of
Lake Toba. Wonderfull day.
Long story
short, when he arrived in Balige, because it was getting dark, we went straight
to the hotel and went out for a while to find dinner. That night we stayed at
Mutiara Balige Hotel . This hotel is actually normal, the price is IDR 650,000
per night, 1 room for 2 people.
The advantage of this hotel is its strategic
location because it is located in the center of Balige district. Around the
hotel there are stalls, convenience stores , ATMs, eating places, gas stations,
and most importantly the REAR DOORS ACCESS TO A SMALL ROAD LAKE TOBA!
That night
we immediately took a break because the adventure in Samosir from the morning
and the road trip to Balige was very tiring. The next morning, we woke up a bit
early to have a delicious noodle breakfast at Pasar Balige. We leave the hotel
at 07:30 and walk to Pasar Balige via the highway which is only 800 meters from
our hotel (± 10 minutes on foot).
On the way, Lake toba tour package we stopped by the Revolutionary Heroes Monument, which we passed while walking
to Pasar Balige. In this monument area there is a statue of our hero IN
Pandjaitan and a Toba Batak traditional house which is now functioned as one of
the Tourism Office offices.
To enter the monument area is free and what is
possible because free is not maintained? Ha ha ha. Because in my personal
opinion, this monument is very poorly maintained, even though the potential is
to become one of Balige's pride icons, especially the location that is very
close to Pasar Balige.
